Explaining Antisemitism: Then and Now

Guest Speaker: Dr. Michael Meyer

As part of Northern Hills Synagogue's Adult Education programming, Dr. Michael Meyer gave a lecture about various explanations for antisemitism and its causes. He traced its changing nature from ancient times down to the present and looked at the contemporary situation in relation to its recent rise in the United States and its connection to anti-Zionism.

Dr. Michael Meyer received his doctorate from Hebrew Union College and has taught at the various campuses since 1964. He is currently he is currently the Adolph S. Ochs Professor of Jewish History Emeritus at the Cincinnati campus. Professor Meyers is renowned for his scholarship in Jewish history with a focus on German Jewish history.
