SISTERHOOD RUMMIKUB/CHAT, 4:00 PM

RUMMIKUB, a long-standing group, gathers virtually the second Monday of every month at 4:00 P.M for a chat (this month - October 12), since COVID-19 has suspended our ability to play. If you'd like to join in, you can! You do not need to be a player, and if you would like to become a player eventually, we'll teach you.

Please contact Sonia Milrod, [email protected] for the ZOOM Meeting Link.

TALMUD STUDY WITH RABBI FERRO, 9:00 PM

Join Rabbi Noah Ferro every Monday at 9:00PM. We are in the middle of Tractate Shabbat and are always happy to have newcomers!

The time for the beginner Hebrew class taught by Sarah Barnard has changed from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m.

WEDNESDAYS:

PROPHETESSES WITH RABBI SCHAPERA 6:30 PM

We've had a long hiatus from learning about the 7 prophetesses of Israel, but it's time we finished our class! We only have 2 more prophetesses to learn about, and you don't need to have attended previous classes to learn with us!

Classes resume Wednesday, January 13 at 6:30 PM (moved back from the normal time of 7:30 for the finance committee meeting).

HAZAK PROGRAM: MARCH 17 1:00 PM

January 20 is the Presidential Inauguration, so there will be no January program.

For our next HaZaK program - open to the entire congregation - we would like to encourage you to view one or more of the wonderful films that are part of the JCC's Jewish and Israeli Film Festival January 23-February 18, 2021. All films will be streamed, and you will view them from the comfort of your own home. Please go to Mayerson JCC Jewish & Israeli Film Festival for the complete line-up, information on how to view, and purchase tickets.

On March 17th at 1:00 PM, HaZaK will sponsor a Zoom discussion of the films. Stacey Schimberg, Film Festival Committee Chair, will lead the discussion.

For more information, contact Sonia Milrod or Bobbi Handwerger, HaZaK co-chairs.
