Families
NHS welcomes your family to ours. We are open to families of all types and all levels of observance and participation, offering services for members and non-members in our religious school as well as in our family programming. Join us for High Holiday family services or an afternoon at the park at a “Family Fun Day.” Don’t see something that works for your family? We encourage you to reach out to our programming director, education director or the rabbi at any time to discuss options that might suit your family’s needs.
NHS School
We are excited to offer innovative programs and tracks to meet everyone’s preferences and needs. The NHS school program includes high-quality, exciting, hands-on learning opportunities. Students will experience a curriculum that embraces Jewish traditions, values, and culture while learning Hebrew along the way. They will also participate in art projects, Israeli dance, music, holiday celebrations, special events and field trips. Enrollment is open to all regardless of membership at NHS.
Young Adults
Our young adult programming takes Judaism out of the synagogue. Check our events page for Rabbi Ferro’s Torah on Tap at a local brewery or other upcoming programs.
Sisterhood
The NHS Sisterhood’s main functions are to support the Synagogue in various ways (financially, spiritually, and socially) and to provide Sisterhood members with social activities like book groups, game nights and knitting groups. Joint activities are held with the Men’s Club, and all of the Sisterhood meetings are open to the entire congregation. The Sisterhood also operates the Gift Shop. Mark your calendars for our upcoming events!
